Now in retirement, life has come full circle. What really nourishes my soul is music – listening to, playing it – and losing myself in the dance.
A recurring dream:
Maybe we made dinner together, your place or mine. We’re standing at the sink. I’m washing, you’re drying (we flipped a coin). “Deeper” by xristxan is playing, just loud enough to feel the bass nudging you.
Without thinking, I start swaying to the music. Then I notice - you’re swaying too. You catch me noticing… and I catch you.
We turn to each other, still moving to the music – no rush, no words. Just music and motion.
That would be a pretty good night.
