Hi. I'm kind, loyal, giving, affectionate, sensitive, passionate, sensuous, honest, respectful, and strong when I need to be. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I've been called "soulful." I'm caring and a good listener.

My major passion is music, which along with humor are the top soul medicines in the world. I started playing drums at age 30. In my late 50s I had to stop because of injury. I am returning to playing now. I love rock-and-roll, blues, R&B, soul, funk, jazz and classical. Writing, too, including poetry. I enjoy sports, literature, nature and animals.

I love my two brothers and my one sister dearly. They form my bedrock of eternal support. I am grateful for my late parents, who showed me the right way. I always seek to widen my horizons. In life, the more you learn, you discover that there's even more to learn.

I'm affectionate, and I love the touch of a lady's hand. I'm a rock-and-roller. If I had a beautiful comrade alongside me, I would treat her like the queen she is. Like the Ronettes sang in "Be My Baby," "For every kiss you give me, I'll give you three."

As a man who is politically progressive and left-leaning, I would like a partner with a similar worldview, and at least a Bachelor's Degree. I seek intellectual, emotional and physical intimacy We'll have a twin passion for all the arts. We'll laugh and cry together. We'll agree on saving Mother Earth, erasing hunger, ensuring democracy, and ending systemic racism. May we be affectionate, supportive and hold hands as we explore the woods, the beaches, the towns and the cities. Let's love the earth, and the diversity of America.

I'm a retired writer/editor. However, after a few years of retirement, I'm strongly considering returning to work, possibly in a new career.

I'm a work in progress, with miles to go before I sleep. I've got more chapters to write. Who knows? You may become the leading lady of my story. But we must be friends first to see if we have the requisite chemistry to become romantic partners.

If I were ever lucky enough to find a true love, I would simply say, "I've been sanctified."
