Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als

OK, here’s the deal. I’ve really, really tried not to be “racist” in my taste in men. I really have. I do my best to give white men a chance (I do!), and some of them are quite nice and all, but…



I find myself constantly checking out the men who I really find attractive, that beautiful dark chocolate skin, that gorgeous physiognomy, that easy, rhythmic way of moving… and I think – damn, that’s what I really want!



And since there are very few of these types on the regular on-line dating sites… well, here I am!



But that’s just the ideal exterior I’m looking for. Just as I wouldn’t negatively judge someone based solely on their skin colour, I’m not ready to choose someone based only on that either! ;-)



So here’s the important stuff:



I’m looking for someone who shares at least some of my interests, and all of my core values. My greatest passions: social justice and dance.



Some of my loves: music and dance of the Latin-American/ African/ Caribbean/ Middle Eastern persuasions… all things Italian (ooh, Caravaggio!)… stand-up comedy… my CBC radio…singing just for the fun of it… languages (speak French, Spanish and Italian – forgot most of my German, working on Haitian Creole)… Paris… walking/working out at my local park to great music… playing with kids… a fine meal in great company.



Pet peeves: double standards…planned obsolescence… arctic air conditioning… slavery to gadgets (e.g. when compulsively checking texts/e-mail/ FB updates on the i-whatever takes precedence over interacting with the non-virtual person in front of you)… waste – of anything, food, money, time, energy, human potential… deceit and dishonesty… all forms of injustice.
